Divine Timing: Leading With Purpose

DAY 13 OF 14

Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth".

I wanted to share a little insight about something that I think a lot of us struggle with: finding quiet time before God. For many of us who are leaders and builders, it’s tough to slow down—not just to stop the external hustle but to quiet our minds too. One strategy I’ve found helpful is to jot down all those “to-do’s” that pop up in my mind during the first few minutes of quiet time. Once I clear that mental clutter, I often find that real insights start to flow. It’s amazing how these ideas can push us into deeper creative thinking and help us tackle problems from different angles.

Let’s remember that God gave us the Sabbath for a reason—it’s our chance to step back from our checklists and ask, “Lord, what do YOU want me to see?” When we think about strategic planning, it’s not just about the agendas and tasks. It’s really about figuring out what’s truly important to us. Sometimes, our goals might not align with our growth in Christ. It’s essential that our objectives come from God, connect with our gifts, and are fueled by faith, not just our ego or desire for material things.

This isn’t just some psychological exercise; it’s about genuinely asking the right questions and making time for reflection with God. Let’s keep seeking that quietness together!
