You Don't Have To Do It in Your Own Strength
It doesn’t matter what weakness FOMO has created in our life; Christ’s strength is enough.
We learn in 2 Corinthians 12:7-8 that Paul had some type of handicap. Whatever it was, he tells us that it kept him from being filled with pride. He even asked for Jesus to take it away from him.
In verse 9, we see both Jesus’ response to Paul asking him to take it away and Paul’s change in perspective: “He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
When we surrender our lives to Jesus, our weakness and shortcomings become a story that screams God’s goodness and restoration. Day by day, your life and the story God is writing will become more and more beautiful, as you say things like this:
- “I didn’t want this for my life, but I trust You, God.”
- “I don’t know how this is for Your glory, but give me Your strength to walk through this.”
- “I really wanted something else to happen, but I know that You have better plans for me.”
- “I loved what You are leading me away from, but I love You more.”
- “I wish I knew what was coming next, but I know that all I have to focus on is what You’re doing now.”
God’s will for our lives is always better than what we could or would have planned for ourselves. I realized that if God was leading me to be a full-time stay-at-home mother, then He would make a way for us, even if our monthly expenses were making us believe it was impossible. If God is taking you someplace new, He’ll prepare the way for you too.
Whenever you surrender to God’s will, be prepared to see Christ’s almighty power exerted for you. Because even when we can’t see evidence of it, big things are happening!
Are you struggling to know what to do next or what God is calling you to? If yes, how can you give this to God?

About this Plan
If you’re like many women, you struggle sometimes with FOMO: the fear of missing out. The problem is, we can become so busy trying to create a life worth living that we miss out on the moment God has placed right in front of us. It’s time for us to embrace where God has us today. It’s time to embrace NOW over NEXT.
