DAY 11 OF 21

A Life of Purpose and Gratitude
Zach Ortiz

In Colossians 3:17, the Apostle Paul issues a powerful directive that challenges us to weave our faith into the fabric of our entire lives. This scripture emphasizes that our spirituality cannot be compartmentalized or reserved for certain moments. Instead, Paul encourages us to live “ALL IN,” where every word and deed reflects our devotion to Christ and is done with gratitude to Him. This way of life turns our everyday actions into meaningful acts of worship, showing how even routine moments can demonstrate the transformative power of faith.

When we adopt this mindset, we engage in a life that radiates the essence of Christ to those around us. Our interactions and activities take on a more profound significance, allowing us to become living testimonies of His love and grace. By embodying this holistic commitment, we find ourselves enriched in spirit and purpose and reveal to others the profound impact of living for Christ.

To practice this principle, start by evaluating the different aspects of your life: work, relationships, and personal time. Ask, “Are these areas fully dedicated to Christ?” This week, commit to performing each task with intentionality rooted in gratitude. Pursue excellence in the workplace or school to express your faith, not merely meet obligations. Support colleagues and friends by being a source of encouragement and show your integrity.

In your interactions, let your speech uplift and inspire. Purposefully choose words that embody love, patience, and truth, creating a ripple effect that points back to Christ’s teachings. Even challenging conversations can be transformed into moments that display God’s love.

Develop a daily practice of gratitude. Take a few minutes each day to reflect on your blessings and write them down in a gratitude journal. This simple act helps shift your focus from what is lacking to the abundance of grace God provides.

At the end of the week, reflect on how this approach has influenced your perspective. How did this “ALL IN” mindset change your actions and interactions? Please share your insights with a trusted friend or mentor and encourage them to join you on this journey.

How did striving to do everything in the name of Jesus affect your mindset and daily experiences this week?

About this Plan

All In

“New Year, New Me” is only accurate if something is different about you. This devotional is meant to challenge you to fully commit to Christ, your actions, hearts, and minds. This will show you the importance of living authentically for Jesus by fully engaging, not having one foot in and one foot out of your faith. We pray that through this, you will make bold choices, trust God’s plan, and make your relationship with Christ above everything else. Are you ready? Let’s go All In!
