What Won't Be in Heaven?

While our knowledge about Heaven is limited, we are told some things that will not be there. No aches or pain, cancer, disease, physical ailments, or declining and aging bodies will exist. There will be no deaths, horrible accidents, or murders. There will be no sin! No crime at all. Revelation 21:27 says that nothing “unclean” will ever enter Heaven, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. We will no longer have the threat of being harmed or enduring war. Putting it simply, there will be no evil at all.

What do we do with this knowledge of what is NOT in Heaven? This is hope. This is a promise! Our time on earth is a blink to endure and to make a difference in the lives of others. Don’t we want everyone to have the opportunity for eternity in Heaven instead of the alternative? All those things not allowed in Heaven will be in Hell. Anyone who doesn’t receive eternal life through Jesus Christ will spend eternity with everything that is not in Heaven. This is why we share the gospel with others! There is an eternity. Everyone will live forever. The question is, “Where?”

Action Step: Take a moment to focus on Heaven. None of that pain or difficulty will be there! Thank God for the hope of Heaven and eternal deliverance from the pain and difficulty you’re facing.
