Jesus, Name Above All Namesਨਮੂਨਾ

Jesus’ Name: the world is to know Him
“Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-11)
Jesus is the Son of God who came into the world to save everyone who believes in Him (John 3:16).
He is Christ, the Anointed King. He reigns, now through all brokenness, but once complete and forever.
He is the son of David and Abraham according to His earthly birth. God shows in Him that He fulfills His promises.
He is Immanuel, God who comes near and wants to be present in our lives.
He is the Son of the Most High. To Him is given all power in heaven and on earth. His Name is to be made known to all nations. (Matthew 28:18-20)
What other names of Jesus can you list and what do they mean to you?
Jesus, Son of the Most High God, I want to worship and acknowledge You as my Lord. Thank You that You are present in my life. Every day!

About this Plan

Jesus' earthly parents did not have to wonder over the Name they would give to the Child Mary was expecting. God Himself told them what they should name this Child: Jesus. But He bore other names as well. This reading plan helps you discover what Jesus' names reveal about Himself.
