I Am REDEEMED!

DAY 4 OF 5

I am REDEEMED: Purpose

Too often, we just let life happen to us. We take it as it comes, and somewhere along the way, we forget to ask God what his purpose for our lives is. Or perhaps we've asked, and he hasn't answered yet. Maybe we even feel like our purpose is changing in this season.

Wherever you are with your purpose (or lack thereof), the Lord has the way. His purpose for all of us is to go and make disciples in all the world (Matthew 28:19), but how we accomplish his Great Commission will be unique to our giftings, anointings, and personalities.

If you aren't sure of your purpose, if you feel like maybe it's too late, if you're too old or young, or if you don't have the right background, education, or experience—congratulations! That is how it is supposed to be when we walk out what God has for us.

If we could do this thing alone, why would we need to call on God?

Purpose is a gift. And the Lord wants each of us to have this very precious gift.

Maybe you feel you've already messed up too badly for God to use you. He can work with that! Perhaps you don't know what you should be doing, how you're supposed to do it, or whether or not you're making any difference in this world. God's got you!

His plans for us are perfect because his ways are higher. Jeremiah 29:11 says his plans are for our good, to give us hope and a future.

That is an unshakeable promise!

He wants to redeem your purpose so that you can shine his light and bring others to him. No matter how bad things look, how impossible your situation is, or how messed up your life is, he still has a purpose for you.

Let God redeem your purpose!

Prayer for Purpose: Lord, I want to walk out every bit of your purpose for my life--I don't want to leave any of it on the table. Please give me your wisdom and discernment so I can hear and know your voice. I want to go where you send me. Whatever you want from me, I am in! Show me how to complete my assignment on earth so that I may bring glory to your Kingdom and win others for you. In Jesus' name, amen.
