WEEK 2, DAY 6—I AM CALLED

Not only are we saved and loved by God, but we also have been CALLED by him. Being called by God means that we have been created with a purpose and a plan for our lives. As we choose to follow God and live by the example that Jesus set as he lived on earth, we are able to walk in this plan and call for our lives. Living in God’s calling is the best version of life you can live!

Choosing to follow God means choosing to put aside our desires and instead allow our lives to be guided by God. It’s easy to live driven by feelings and our desires, but living God’s way means pursuing him above everything else!

As you read Romans chapter 8 today, you can see how as you surrender your life and seek God, he will take you further than you could have dreamed. You may be asking, “Well what’s the point of me putting what I want away to follow the ‘call’ of God?” It’s simple—if you had the opportunity to play basketball on a team with the greatest basketball player of all time and win a championship with them, you would play with them and let them guide the team, right? It’s the same with our lives. We get an opportunity to do life with the ultimate GOAT—Jesus! And we have the Holy Spirit, who guides us and directs us into the calling and plan God has for our life!
