Jesus Said About How to Be WitnessesSample
Step 5: Has something like this ever happened to you?
After you share what happened after your conversion, you can ask: Has something like this ever happened to you? This is an open-ended question, non-threatening and not forcing yourself onto the person, and it is non-confrontational.
The Story of Jesus in two minutes
Depending on the answer, you ask the Holy Spirit for guidance on how to take the conversation further. If it is clear from the person's answer to this question that the person is not a Christian or is unsure, you can ask them if you can share very briefly why Jesus came to earth. You can do this very effectively in two minutes.
The Three Circles is a very simple and practical way to share the gospel with someone. If there is any indication from the person that you may share with them why Jesus came, you take them through the Three Circles. This is what we will do over the next five days.
The Three Circles method of sharing the gospel
When you share the gospel with someone, you can use three circles. It is easy to draw the three circles on paper and use them to explain the gospel.
You must read the following again and again. Give careful attention to the Scripture references. Memorise them with their Biblical references.
First circle: God's original plan for us
God created us with beauty, purpose, and great design, and He wants the best for us. He wants to be our Father, and His plan for us is a meaningful, purposeful, peaceful, and abundant life. He loves us, and He wants to take care of us.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
God designed us to love Him, to walk with Him and to enjoy his presence. God saw all that He made, and it was very good (Genesis 1:31).
For You formed my inner being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvellous are Your works, and I know this very well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all my days were written in Your book and ordained for me before one of them came to be. How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God, how vast is their sum! If I were to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand (Psalm 139:13-17).
