DAY 7 OF 10

The Armor of God

"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with the truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:11-17 NKJV

The Greek definition for "wiles" is "cunning arts, deceit, craft, trickery." The enemy comes with a bag of tricks to deceive us; however, our Father equips us even more with full armor from head to toe so that we are always prepared for battle. In a previous scripture, we talked about the strong man being armed (Luke 11:21-22), but how a stronger man (Jesus) comes and disarms him. Thankfully for us, the armor of God can never be taken from us. This is what makes us more than conquerors. Each garment of armor serves a specific purpose. Never leave home without the FULL armor of God to protect you from trickery and deception.

Declare this today.

Devil, you may be cunning and crafty, but my heavenly Father equips me for your tricks. My armor, unlike yours, cannot be dismembered. You are not able to disarm me. The belt of truth secures and girds me in who I am in Christ Jesus and my powers through Him. My breastplate of righteousness protects my integrity and virtue and keeps me in right standing with God. With this breastplate, I will not defile myself or allow you to get me out of my Godly character. I strap on my combat boots of the Gospel of Christ, my prepared foundation. I have peace knowing that the victory is already mine because of his death and resurrection. My faith is my shield that not only blocks every fiery dart but also extinguishes them. Your insults and lies are quenched in the realm of the Spirit in the name of Jesus. The helmet of salvation keeps me from becoming discouraged because I do not know how long this battle will take. My mind is protected, and my thoughts are on my assurance of the Lord. Now that my defenses are secured to block your attacks, I now attack with the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, by declaring that no weapon formed against me shall ever be able to prosper. Holy Spirit, help me use this weapon effectively and timely to destroy all acts of warfare. Satan, I am more than a conqueror, and I have conquered you today with the whole armor of God. In Jesus' name. Amen.

About this Plan

Prayers of Victory

When the devil tempted Jesus in the wilderness, he spoke the word of God back to satan and told him to flee. If you are in the middle of spiritual warfare, you need to declare the word of God back to the enemy. The Bible tells us to use the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Therefore, praying the word of God is your defense against the enemy’s attacks. You have all power and authority over satan. The victory is yours. Declare it over your life today.
