Chosen to Be a Miracle! Advent Plan Based on “The Chosen"Sample
Day 16: I have already come!
I have never seen my brother Jesse walk. He was paralyzed due to an accident that happened before I was born, and from my earliest childhood years, I had a responsibility to help him.
When I reached my youth, however, seeing the injustices that the Romans committed against the Jews, I made one of the hardest decisions of my life: to abandon my brother to join the brothers of the Fourth Philosophy, also known as the Zealots.
I didn't know how to say goodbye to my brother, so I wrote him a letter based on the prophecy of Zephaniah 3:19, saying, "Jesse, when you stand on two feet, I will know the Messiah has come. I will fight for the freedom of Zion in order to see that day."
With the Zealots, I obtained military training that allowed me to become an expert in hand-to-hand combat. After many years of training, I was given a mission: to kill one of the high Roman officials, a magistrate named Rufus who lived in Jerusalem.
We had planned the operation in detail, and on the very day we were to execute it, I passed by the Pool of Bethesda. I had never been there to visit my brother because that place has a pagan history and is forbidden to Zealots. However, I wanted to say goodbye to him, as I didn't know if I would die during the mission.
It broke my heart to see him so desolate. We talked for a while, but after saying goodbye to him, I focused on my mission again. We finished the final preparations and started the mission at the appointed time. I was in position and ready to execute the magistrate when, out of the corner of my eye, I saw my brother Jesse. He was walking, and he had his belongings with him!
I had to be dreaming. I lost track of everything. I walked over to him and called out to him. We looked at each other, and we wept and embraced one another. The prophecy had been fulfilled! The Messiah was here, and He had healed Jesse! I had to find our Messiah, no matter what.
I followed the path that Jesse had shown me until I met Jesus...and my life was never the same again.
My name is Simon the Zealot, and I have been chosen by Jesus.
P.S. Dear friend, God knows perfectly well what to show you, at what time, and in what way to reveal it to you. His timing is perfect. He is never late, and He knows how to guide those who are attentive to His voice. Enjoy the Christmas holiday with your loved ones, and be attentive to the things God wants to reveal to you.
