OUR GOD IS 3 IN 1

Fake News? It’s always been a thing. It began in the Garden of Eden, when the serpent used a little bit of truth and a lot of deception to undermine Adam and Eve’s confidence and security in God; and His Word, and His character. 

Nothing has changed really. Jesus described Satan as the father of lies. It’s in everyone’s interest to get the truth above all things…especially because the Apostle John had already conveyed what Jesus had said about truth in his gospel.

““Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him, “When you continue to embrace all that I teach, you prove that you are my true followers. For if you embrace the truth, it will release true freedom into your lives.””

John 8:31-32 TPT

John was writing to a new generation of believers who were being robbed by the deceptive teachings that sought to undermine the reality of who Jesus was,  and the truth of His life, death and resurrection. 

John firmly reassures his beloved churches that they can have an assurance of who Jesus is, the Saviour of the World… and what He has done, in overcoming sin once and for all, in human form on the Cross for us. 

This is Truth. 

Jesus never said that He had the Truth. 

He boldly declared that He is the Truth…and the Way …and the Life. (John 14:6).

This confidence overcomes the fake news once and for all.

Reflection: 

Ask God to reveal His truth for you and your life today.

Prayer: 

Jesus, thank you are the Truth, the Way and the Life. You are greater than anything in this world. Help me to cling to you and your Truth.
