Bold Faith - Part 3 - SE StudentsSample
Have you ever been in a group project where someone came up with some crazy slide and you ended up having to share it? Imagine the topic of your presentation has to do with space, and the planets specifically. Now imagine you and all of your group members write a slide about the planets, and then this one guy in your group writes about caterpillars. Imagine that feeling of having to explain to your whole class why your presentation talks about caterpillars. That would be so weird.
As crazy as that is, that’s what happened in Joshua 6. In verses 6-7, we see that Joshua had to share with the people of Israel the plan God had to conquer the city of Jericho by marching around it for seven days. Odds are, Joshua probably felt confused and uncomfortable sharing this information with the Israelites, because it didn’t really make much sense. But even though it was confusing, Joshua immediately shared the news with the Israelites. Even when it didn’t make sense, Joshua had faith that God could accomplish whatever He wanted, however He wanted.
Do you believe that God can accomplish things in mysterious and sometimes weird ways? What’s one thing you need to trust and have faith that God will accomplish today?
