Key Beliefs: Supporting Basic BeliefsSample
The Lord’s Supper
This is the first time the Lord’s Supper is celebrated. Jesus has His followers eat bread and drink wine that symbolize His body and blood. Jesus’ body and blood had to be sacrificed in order for our sins to be permanently forgiven so we could spend eternity in God’s presence. In our day-to-day lives, we can lose sight of how much our salvation cost God. The idea of consuming flesh and blood is disturbing and should remind us of the disturbing nature of our sin.
