Enjoy a few hours of solitude. Let someone else enjoy a few hours of solitude! Think before you speak. Diminish trivia. Study your Bible without interruption. No Facebook allowed. Take the battery out of your laptop.

People aren’t wired for the speed of sound and light. We need time to think, contemplate, meditate, strategize, prioritize, and analyze. We need to be more active and less reactive. We need a true Sabbath rest. Living our lives in sound bytes and data bursts, we are robbed of wholeness and peace.
