There's Hope For Today
There is nothing quite like a fresh start … unless you continue to do what you have always done.

New beginnings require a willingness to do better; to soar higher; to apply the lessons time teaches along the way. Most New Year’s resolutions are stillborn for want of a plan to implement them. Years ago, when I bought the hardware to install a wireless computer network in my home, it sat in a box for months. I didn’t know how to install it myself, and I just didn’t get around to scheduling time for a technically advanced friend to come over and get the job done.

I planned to lose weight, but I failed to join a club, or set aside time to work out, or plan a better diet. End result: well – you can probably figure it out on your own.

It’s easy to catch a vision. It’s difficult to adopt new disciplines. Wishes are free. Changes cost you something.

Here we are at the threshold of another year. Which gets us thinking about a new schedule; a new body; a new direction; a new challenge. Why not set one goal this year and establish ten steps to get there?

Next year you might be looking at a resolution that lived to see its first birthday.
