Making Sense of it All
This week has focused on studying the critical point that, our entire life is owed to God, and that all we do in this life should be done in pursuit of His purpose.
At the basic level, God's purpose for His people in business is that they live out their convictions as light in a sin-darkened world. On a more specific level, however, God has definite instructions on what to do in business for each individual. To reach the fullness of our lives, we need to hear from God about what to do in business on an ongoing basis starting with an overall vision for the company.
To put it simply, vision is what the world would be like if we succeeded. Mission, on the other hand, is what we must do for the world to reflect the vision.
It will do a great deal of help to invest the rest of the day waiting on the Lord in prayer to receive answers to the following critical questions:
- What is God's vision for your business? What will the world be like if you were to succeed as God wants?
- What is the mission for your business? What is the thing you must do in order for the world to reflect your vision?
- Now that you know your mission, what must you stop doing?
Write down any anchor Scriptures the Lord leads you to for future reference.
