Everyone. Everywhere. Part 2Sample
Begin the Study
Even after learning about and preparing with tools such as “First Steps” or “The DBG,” we can still feel as though we are not the best teachers. We might compare ourselves to a pastor who clearly has the gift of teaching or those who have pursued ministry as their vocation. We often hear people asking themselves if they should pursue ministry vocationally, but regardless of what you do for your career, it is always ministry. You may want to be an accountant, teacher, pastor, or missionary, but we are all called to a life of ministry.
No matter what you do as your job, you are called to bring the light of Jesus into that workplace. If you are an accountant, you are to speak about Jesus at the accounting firm. If you are a teacher, you are to tell the other teachers at your school about the greatest Teacher of all time. If you are working at a church, you are to remind your co-workers of your shared purpose.
God created all kinds of people with different abilities, skills, and passions, and, through the power of the Holy Spirit, He wants to use us all in significant ways! Do not let your circumstances, job title, or perceived abilities limit your call to be a light in this world, wherever you are. Regardless of our knowledge or gifts, He wants to use us. We just have to say yes.
Questions to Ask Yourself:
- Do you believe that God can use you in significant ways?
- In what ways do you believe that God has gifted you?
What’s Next:
- Take a step of faith this week by inviting the person you’ve been praying for into studying the Bible together.
Prayer: God, I ask for boldness. I pray that your Holy Spirit would give me courage to share your story with someone you have placed in my life this summer. Remind me of the impact your story has had on my life. Lord, make me desperate to share this with the people in my midst. Amen.

About this Plan
We know everyone is going everywhere this summer. If you are either in summer school, doing an internship, or going abroad, we want to continue to find and follow Jesus together. We invite you to join us in our devotional, Everyone and Everywhere.
