Everyone. Everywhere. Part 2Sample
Story Worth Sharing
If you have experienced the transforming power of Jesus in your life, you have a story that is worthy of being shared. Our testimony about Jesus is a powerful tool in leading others to believe in Him. Psalm 107:2 says, “Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out!” No matter how simple or complicated, your story is meant to be told!
The moment you place your faith in Jesus, the Holy Spirit lives inside you. He gives us the power to be His witnesses. You do not need to muster up courage or be an amazing speaker to be used by God. All that is required is that you are honest about who Christ is and what He has done in your life.
We see this in the story of the Samaritan woman at the well. After she encountered the life-changing, radical grace of Jesus, she ran back to her town proclaiming how He had saved her! As a result, many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Him. She did not go back to her house and practice telling her story first to make sure it was perfect. In the same way, God does not need us to reach a certain level of spiritual maturity before He can use us. His grace is sufficient always. Praise God!
Questions to Ask Yourself:
- What holds you back from sharing your story with others?
- When you think about people you can share your story with, who comes to mind first?
What’s Next:
- Be honest with God and tell Him how you feel about sharing your story. Ask Him to give you boldness and courage to speak out!
- Pray for the person that came to your mind. Pray for an opportunity to share your story with them and that it would help them see Jesus more clearly!
