Day 7: The Special Ingredient
As we seek to live illuminated lives, we must remember one of the most critical pieces to this puzzle: LOVE! We know that love is so important because Scripture tells us that God is LOVE! Take a second and read 1 John 4.7-21 before reading the reflection. As you read this passage, focus on the author’s explanation for why we love.
Reflection
One of the main ways others see our illumination is through our love. Moreover, our love is a sign that we are God’s children! Part of Christ’s transformative work in us was to position our hearts to love others.

Coming off a retreat or revival? What next? You and I are the church of Jesus Christ on earth today, the visible representation of an invisible God. We have the Holy Spirit living within us, and have been commissioned to shine (illuminate) his love in the midst of a dark world. But what does that mean? How did we get here? And what do we do with all of this? All good questions, and if you stick with us through this journey, we are confident that the Holy Spirit will open your eyes to the light within you that God intends to use to illuminate the world!
