The God Who Sees YouPrøve
Has God already spoken to you?
We have been allowed to reflect together for several days on the fact that God is a God who actually sees us! Wow! If that isn't proof that God has a lot to say to us, I don’t know what is. Or, has He possibly already spoken to us, but we didn't want to hear what He had to say?
"The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth." (Psalm 145:18 NIV)
Yes, I know how frustrating it is when you call on God and present your ideas to Him, wondering when His answer will come, and what it will be. Do I really have the expectation that God will answer and respond?
I want to go one more important step today: Are you willing to clean up your heart first, to make room for God's nearness?
Could it be that God has already spoken to you, but you have repressed or ignored His words because it would cost you something? And while you are repressing what He has spoken to you about, are you hoping to hear something new and beautiful from God that will cost you nothing?
Do we close our spiritual ears when we hear from God what we don't want to hear?
"But if people are bound in chains, held fast by cords of affliction, he tells them what they have done — that they have sinned arrogantly. He makes them listen to correction and commands them to repent of their evil. If they obey and serve him, they will spend the rest of their days in prosperity and their years in contentment." (Job 36:8-11 NIV)
What are your chains? What guilt do you have on you that you keep suppressing when God calls your attention to it? Where has He spoken to your conscience?
He is doing this to help you, and He is also making you ready to tackle these issues to become joyful and satisfied.
So today, before you doubt whether God even sees you anymore (see Genesis 16:13 NIV) and whether He still pays attention to you, question, rather, whether you didn't pay attention to Him when He pointed out something you didn't want to hear.
He is still there. And yes, He still sees and loves you. Show Him today that you love Him too by listening to His quiet voice speaking to your conscience, and then dive into the freedom He wants to give you today!
You are a miracle!

“...You are the God who sees me… I have now seen the One who sees me.” (Genesis 16:13). Do you feel not seen - by friends, family, God? Or maybe you feel rejected? If that is the struggle you are facing, it’s time to be reminded that you are seen by God.
