Grace for Fulfilling Your Purpose

As we celebrate the grace-filled journey of life, we find joy and strength in the incomprehensible love of God. His grace is not just a concept but a strong force that empowers and propels us towards our true purpose in Christ. It’s important to note that we don’t strive to find our purpose but rather His purpose for our life. It’s an important distinction because it takes the focus off of us and adjusts our posture towards Him.

Our purpose in Christ is not a mere happenstance but a deliberate design of God's grace. As we live in the realities of this grace, it is essential to recognize its transformative power. Grace doesn't just save us; it is a force that equips and empowers us for a purpose beyond our wildest dreams.

Consider the life of the Apostle Paul, a persecutor turned preacher. Please read again, slowly, the opening scripture (1Corinthians 15:10). Paul's life exemplifies the dynamic partnership between human effort and divine grace. It is God's grace that propels us forward, and our response is to embrace our purpose with diligence and dedication.

Our purpose in Christ is intricately woven into the fabric of God's grace. In Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord assures us, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." God's plans for us are not accidental; they are purposeful and filled with hope. Embracing this truth requires an understanding that our purpose is not self-constructed but God-ordained.

Grace not only forgives our past but empowers our present and secures our future. In 2 Timothy 1:9, Paul reminds Timothy, "He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time." Our purpose is not an afterthought; it is intricately tied to God's eternal plan and grace.

As we navigate the intricacies of life, it is crucial to recognize that our purpose in Christ is not a destination but a journey. Philippians 1:6 assures us, "And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." God's grace is the fuel that propels us forward, ensuring that we continue growing into the purpose He has prepared for us.

In conclusion, let us celebrate the grace that not only saves us but empowers us for a purpose beyond our comprehension. Ephesians 2:10 beautifully encapsulates this truth: "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

As we kick off the year, let the grace of God inspire and challenge us to discover, embrace, and fulfill our purpose in Christ. May we walk confidently, knowing that His grace is the wind beneath our wings, carrying us towards the divine destiny He has lovingly prepared for each of us.
