Week 22. Day 5. Ezekiel 18-23.
Ch 18 ‘The soul who sins will die’- important chapter.
- What is the main point expressed?
- 18:23 God announces judgment so that we might be spared from it!
Note v 31-32. At this stage in the prophecy, this might not seem like good news. The whole Old Testament has shown that God’s people are unable to ‘Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit’The hope, therefore, must be not in the people’s ability to sort themselves out, but in Gods ability to give his people a new heart (36:25-28)
Ch 20:1-32 - The LORD tells the history of Israel.
v33-49 What is the hope? (note language of new exodus) Why will the LORD do this?

If you want a briefer version of this plan that still takes you through the whole Bible, you could just read the key chapters featured on day 6.
