Where Do We Come From?नमूना
Formed by God
“The Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.” (Genesis 2:7)
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. That’s how the Bible starts. Its first chapter recounts how the Lord God created the seas and the dry land, the fish and the birds, the plants and the trees, the beasts of the earth. “And God saw that it was good.” But then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” He wanted to make a creature that would be especially like Him, more so than any other creature that He already had created.
In Genesis 2, we read in somewhat more detail how God formed the first man of dust, like an artist models a statue of clay. Then He breathed air into the nose of the man to give him life.
I find this a touching story. The Lord of the universe, after creating a beautiful earth swarming with birds and fish and land animals, stooped down to take some dust from the ground and form it into a human body. Then He stooped down even further to breathe into the nose of this "statue" and turn it into a living man.
We humans are not the result of some random process that just happened. We were carefully planned and wonderfully made! How does this make a difference for our identity?

A lot of people ask themselves, “Where do I come from?” This question is important for one’s personal identity. If we trace back far enough, all humans share the same ancestors, Adam and Eve. The Bible tells us about them. So, let’s read where we all come from!
