Small Town Hero

Most of the time, shepherds spend their days out in the country, where the hungry sheep like to be! Jesus was born in a small town called Bethlehem, not far from where shepherds kept their sheep. Did you know someone else famous came from Bethlehem besides Jesus? The shepherd boy named David who became a famous king was also from there! Right there in Bethlehem, Samuel appointed David to become the King of Israel when he was just a young boy still shepherding his father’s flock. Many years later the King of Kings, Jesus, was born there. Bethlehem was just a small town in those days but God used it in big ways! God cares more about where you are going than where you came from. When you put your faith in God you can do big things!
