GOD MATH: A Family Devotionalनमूना
Mom + 2 Boys - Money
Can you imagine being so poor and so desperate that your mom would sell you as a slave just to have enough money to eat supper? That sounds downright awful, but sometimes that’s what happens, even in parts of our world today. This mom had two sons and no way to make money. Her human math equation said Mom + 2 Boys - Money = Slavery. Thankfully, Elisha knew how to do God Math!
All she needed was to ask her neighbors for some jars, then take the tiny amount of oil she had and keep pouring. Since you just read the story, you know what happened…God Math!
Let’s make this one more complicated.
Mom + 2 Boys - Money + God = Safety.
It seems that God’s favorite way to do math is to take something really small and make it into something way bigger, like this little jar of oil or a little bit of faith. How creative, unexpected, and unbelievably amazing! I wonder how he’s doing this in your life right now?

The widow was willing to pour her little jar of oil into the big one. Is there something little that God is asking you to do or give?
Prayer prompt:
Ask God if there’s something small he wants you to give, or to do. After asking, share what comes to mind. It might be a picture, a word, a specific Bible verse, or a feeling.
