Let's Talk About Sexनमूना
Day One – The Creation of Sex
Genesis is a precursor to defining how sex was formed. It also reveals the model for us to follow after God instructs Adam and Eve to, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth” (Genesis 1:28).
No one can dispute that everything God does is intentional. If He wanted to reveal an alternative for us to follow, outside of a man and his wife, He had sixty-five other books in the bible to show us. Instead, He articulates consistent messaging throughout scripture regarding our instructions for godly living.
The Lord is not bashful, scared, or reluctant to reveal what He wants us to know.
“And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day” (Genesis 1:31).
What has made God so content before He rests on the seventh day? First, He has created the earth. After creating the first man and woman, he gives them instructions that also become a catalyst for the evolution of man.
But there’s another caveat revealing the Lord’s actions. Scripture identifies Adam and Eve as something more than casual:
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed” (Genesis 2:24-25).
Two cannot become one flesh unless they engage in sex. Scripture describes the order in which we should approach this special life event. There is no escaping the transparent message that God is conveying, right in front of us.
Please find a quiet place to pray: Heavenly Father, thank you for revealing the truth in your Word. I am ready to explore more about what Your Word is saying regarding sex as I prepare to make a life change. Thank you, Jesus, for guiding me to increase my awareness and understanding of what is and is not acceptable to You. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
