Grace-Filled Motherhood

DAY 8 OF 14

Week 2- God

Trusting God

Read: Proverbs 3:1-12

SOAP: Proverbs 3:5-6

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. Acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will make your paths straight."

Into the Text

Sweet sister,

I know it can be hard to trust God at times. From our limited view, our lives can look messy. Where we see unfinished threads and conflicting patterns, He sees a beautiful tapestry taking shape. As mothers, we are the weavers of faith for our children. We have the privilege of showing them how to trust the Master Weaver even when the design isn’t clear and nothing seems to go together.

To trust God is to walk hand in hand with Him into the unknown, believing that He knows the way. It is knowing God’s character and surrendering to the certainty of His love over the uncertainty of our circumstances. It doesn’t mean we have all the answers—it means we trust the One who does.

Sometimes, our children turn to us with questions, searching for explanations we cannot give. In these moments, we can show them the beauty of trust and prayer. By leaning into God, we can show them that even when our understanding falls short, our faith does not have to.

Our trust in God is a legacy we pass down, a heritage richer than any worldly treasure. It is the quiet strength that steadies us when life feels shaky as well as the anchor for our souls in the ever-changing tides that rush onto the shores of our lives.

As we guide our children, may we remember that our understanding is but a drop in the ocean of God's wisdom. He sees the entirety of our lives, the beginning and the end, and every twist and turn in between. We can trust Him because of Who He is, and He is good.

Prayer

Dear Jesus, let my life reflect a heart that fully trusts in You. When questions arise and answers seem scarce, help me to demonstrate a trust that is unwavering, teaching my children to look to You, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Amen.
