HEALING FROM THE WINGS OF GOD

Wings are a symbol of strength and safety. Every bird covers its young ones under its wings to protect them. Warmth and wellbeing are found beneath the wings. The ultimate person from whom creation originated is God. He thus has wings, and under them are safety and health. Everyone who invokes the Lord's name and responds in fear of Him is certain that God's wings of healing will rise above them and bestow health on them.

How do you claim your healing? Healing will rise up in your body as the wings of God’s healing rise above you because you fear His name.

Fear of the future may paralyze us with illness, but fear of God leads to healing. When we fear God and trust that God's name, "Jesus," has the ability to bring health to our body and call upon it in faith, God will instantly cover us with His wings of healing. God has promised to protect you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find healing and refuge from the diseases of this world, just like a mother bird shields its young in the face of danger.

Whom can God heal? All who revere His name! We learn from the New Testament how Bartimaeus, a blind man, invoked the Lord's name and was given sight. The sun of righteousness will come to you with His wings of healing, spread them upon you so that you are cured, experience the healing stay over you, and that you are protected even from future illnesses. This will occur even now when you fear the name of the Lord and call out to Him.

What does God need? God needs your reverence. People no longer fear God in the world we live in today. You will become aware of who God is and what pleases and offends Him when you have a godly fear. You cannot claim to fear God while acting in a way that offends him. God will never be angry with you, of course, but only those who revere His name might receive His healing. A desire for healing may be relational, material, spiritual, or bodily. Only when you treat God with the respect He deserves will you receive the healing you need. Godly awe produces love, which makes you loathe evil and cling to what is right.

Reflection time:

1. Write down the aspects of life where you need God’s healing.

2. Write down the ways you can revere God’s name. Call upon the Lord’s name in prayer.

3. Take a decision to honor the Lord’s name with the life you lead.

Make it a point to tell the Lord that you rest under His wings.
