USE YOUR GIFTS

God has given all of us unique gifts. Whether it's your skills, talents, character traits, experiences, lessons learned, or even some of the stuff you own, you have a lot you can share with others. Today's challenge is going to help you think about the gifts God has uniquely given you, and how you can use those gifts to love God and others. Because when we use our gifts for God, we grow!

CHALLENGE

When it comes to helping others, it's natural to compare ourselves. We might wish we were more bold, empathetic, or had the skills of a sibling or classmate. But we're each wired to show how we care in ways that are unique to us.

Take some time today to consider your personality. What do you see as your strengths and skills? Make a top-to-bottom list. Then, next to your list, make a list of needs you see around you. What help do those in your family or community need?

Draw lines connecting your strengths on the left to the needs on the right. Once you've found a few that connect, make a plan to meet that need! For inspiration, check out the list below!

• If you're an artist, bring some coloring books or art supplies to a local children's hospital and color with the patients.
• If you're a musician, grab some friends and offer to play for residents at a local nursing home.
• If you excel at a subject in school, offer some tutoring or homework help.
