Are you one of those people who makes sure your phone battery never dips below fifty percent, or do you consistently run your phone to one percent every day? Have you ever been in a situation where your phone was dead, and you really needed it? If your phone is dead and you run out of gas, get lost, or need a ride home, it can be pretty nerve wracking to feel disconnected.
When we are afraid we don't have enough of anything, it can cause anxiousness or fear. If we are concerned that we don't have enough friends, enough money, or enough opportunities, we can start to feel pretty insecure. We search desperately for safety, hoping that someone or something will make us feel stable again.
Sometimes, we search for security in all the wrong places. We may be tempted to think anything from a bigger following to parties will help us feel like we're enough. These things will actually drain us, rather than build us up, because they aren't the source of energy we truly need.
Just like our phones need to be connected to a true source of power, we need to be connected to God — our true source of life, joy, and peace. When we begin to feel like we don't have enough, instead of looking for a short-term charge, let's ask God to fill us up.

We'll also learn that our actions can speak when words aren’t enough and that God’s love is always enough.
