The Problem With Silence

Wherever God’s people unite to worship, we become this habitation for His presence. God comes to dwell where His people worship; where that happens, all the weight of His glory, His Lordship, and His dominion are present. A little glimpse of His Kingdom come!

However, an adversary exists—his methods remain consistent. His goal is to kill, steal, and destroy. One of his tactics is to shroud you in SILENCE. He aims to rob your joy, silence your song, and diminish your authority. This can occur when we're hesitant to offend or perhaps intimidated by external forces. Kingdom culture thrives through both presence and language. When this culture is muted, confusion, distrust, and exclusivity prevail.

Yet, with every act of worship and prayer, we establish God's dominion over our lives. We proclaim our allegiance to His Kingdom. Oftentimes, silence has led us to forfeit our dominion—choosing comfort over our calling, opting for tidy expressions of service instead of lives surrendered for Christ's sake.

Consider Adam's example in the garden: he lost dominion due to his silence, failing to speak up when he easily could have. Mordecai's words to Esther in Esther 4 resonate: "If you stay silent at this time, you and your people will perish."

In valleys, PRAY. On mountaintops, PRAY. In uncertainty, PRAY. In suffering or anxiety, PRAY. Our prayers elevate the name that truly matters, drawing heaven close, anchoring us in the weight of God's eternal worth, and reaffirming our TRUE NORTH. Something within prayer stirs God's heart and elevates our faith.

Speak out, rise up—there's a resounding sound from a global, praying church shaking loose anything ungodly. Miracles are breaking out everywhere. Today, I earnestly pray that you will choose to speak up, pray boldly, and align your life and speech with the words of God's promises.

In Jesus' Name!
