Renewed Hearts

Romans 6:1-2 says:

What shall we say, then? Are we to continue in sin that grace May abound? 2- By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?

Many of us still continue to live like that scripture reads, until we examine our everyday walk. When we seek our Lord by reading His word and living out His scriptures with prayerful hearts, our behavior can change. We pray these disciplines will keep us from taking two steps forward and ten steps backwards. We should desire to put Him, Jesus, in the forefront of our lives and to let the LORD be the consultant in everything we do.

Romans 6:3 expands on this:

”Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?”

Our sins were washed clean; in other words, our old life died and we were blanketed with His forgiveness. What a wonderful blessing to know that we have a gracious and loving father who gave His son to death, for our sins, so we can have a new life and live with Him in Glory forever. I am so thankful, that I feel our LORD is saying, “Give it all to Him,” our junk in our trunks and everything that we seem to want to hang onto in this life.

We should ask Him for forgiveness and receive it from Him. Then, we should accept Him as our LORD and SAVIOR. We will lay it all down at the feet of Jesus, and He will give us a newborn life. As our hearts are renewed, we should walk with praises on our lips.
