Acts: Go & Be Chapters 19-28नमूना
What is this passage saying?
Paul finally makes it to Rome. Three months after the shipwreck, Paul was able to get on another ship and make it to his destination. God is working out everything Paul had to go through to get to this final point in the Book of Acts. Paul can speak in front of Caesar and a crowd of people. Paul tells them why he has come to Rome. His goal is to spread the Kingdom of God there in Rome and give an opportunity for the people to be saved. The Scriptures say that some believed, but others did not. Some argued with him back and forth, but Paul ended by sharing the love of Christ with them and letting them know that God has not only come for the Jews but also the Gentiles. Paul remained there in Rome for another two years, boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ, and no one tried to stop him.
What is this passage teaching?
God is in control! His plans are far greater than our plans. Luke ends the book of Acts with Paul speaking to the world's most powerful man with an opportunity to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. Though some did not believe, many others made a decision that would change their eternity to follow Jesus. Paul’s journey was not easy, but it was worth it, and God used him in a mighty way! Trust in the Lord with your life; you will be amazed at what God can do!
How do I respond?
God does not make any mistakes. He is orchestrating his plans and purposes through us as believers. We just have to trust in the One who is directing our steps. As you wrap up the Book of Acts today, I pray that you will draw nearer to our Lord and Savior in a way that helps build your trust in knowing that God is always in control. He is asking you to go and be on mission for Him. God is faithful, and He will always provide for your every need. He will never go against His Word. “Being confident of this very thing, that He who begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)
