Finding the Light in God's "No!"नमूना
DAY 5
“NO!”
Thank you for being with me on day five of our study this week. We are learning God sometimes answers our prayers with a “No!” He even answered a prayer from Jesus with a “No!”
As Jesus prepared to be given into the hands of the enemy, He prayed that God fulfill Scripture differently. Even though Jesus shared His greatest desire with God, He still prayed for God’s Will to be done, thus giving all authority into God’s hands.
Ultimately, we know God will not change the course of action. Looking ahead in Luke 23:26-43, Jesus fulfilled Scripture through His crucifixion and later resurrection.
As we begin to dig in a little to this “No!” Jesus received, we must remember God did provide Jesus with strength.
If God did not strengthen Jesus, we can imagine He would have never been able to endure all He had to go through to fulfill Scripture. God did answer Jesus with strength, but as Jesus asked for His fate to be taken from Him, God’s answer was “No!”
Remember, Jesus prayed for his desire and gave God all authority. He said, “Let Your Will be done.” Luke 22:42.
God’s Will had already answered Jesus’ request. It was always a “No!” His Will was to send His Son to earth as a sacrifice for the sins of the world.
If God did not answer with a “No!” can you imagine how different the world would be? How would we be forgiven for our sins? Would there be a path for us to eternal life in Heaven?
There was a purpose to God’s “No!” when he answered Jesus. There is a purpose to God’s “No!” in your life as well. Furthermore, just as Jesus was strengthened to move forward in God’s Will, He will strengthen you to move forward past the “No!”
I know it can feel defeating, but God will send His angels. My prayer for you today is when your desires do not align with God’s Will, you still feel strengthened.
I look forward to studying with you tomorrow as we look at Jesus’ demeanor when He knows God’s answer is “No!”
