The War on Wisdom नमूना
Discipline and correction are often words that cause uneasiness in people. They create an image in our mind’s eye of an authoritarian figure who is relentless, unforgiving, stern, and uncaring. However, throughout the book of Proverbs we are implored to desire both discipline and correction.
God calls us to be wise and He gives us the key to unlocking wisdom in all areas of our life. We are told “whoever loves discipline loves knowledge”. Take a moment and ask God to redefine the words discipline and correction for you - because God’s heart is that of love, reconciliation and life to the fullest, not that of death and destruction. He is not that relentless, unforgiving authoritarian figure.
The writer of Proverbs encourages us to keep learning, to love instruction and knowledge, and to be humble enough to be disciplined. We need to have a teachable spirit that is open and willing to be held accountable for our actions. Take some time to ask God to open your eyes to where you may have allowed pride to creep in and become a stumbling block. Ask Him to soften your heart and unblock your ears so that you will listen and open yourself up to the wise counsel of godly people in your life. There is fullness of life and favor from God readily available to us all.
