Jesus. All About Life.नमूना
Reflection
The words of Pontius Pilate, “What shall I do, then, with Jesus?” pose a key life question. It is the most important question you will ever have to answer.
What shall we do with “the anointed one” (which is what “Messiah” literally means)? In Old Testament times, prophets, high priests, and kings were anointed with oil made with special ingredients. Its use signified separation from ordinary things for holy use. However, the Messiah was not anointed with oil but by God’s Holy Spirit. God set Jesus apart to rescue humankind and creation back to himself.
Here’s the thing: If you know Jesus as the anointed one, you will not push him out of your life.
Note what happens next. Pontius Pilate asks, “What crime has he committed?” His question doesn’t matter to the mob. “Just crucify him,” they shout. This shows the full brutality and unreasonableness of evil. Evil is not interested in the truth. Christians seeking to defend Christianity in today’s culture will face the same hostility. Jesus warned, “If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also.” (John 15:20)
Action point
Dear friends: What will you do with Jesus? There is a battle going on. Please be on the side that has already won – even if we can’t enjoy the full fruits of victory yet.
Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, I want to say I choose you to be my Lord and Saviour with every fiber of my being. You are, in every way, beautiful in character, relentless in love, and glorious in holiness. It is such a privilege to know you and serve you.
