Being Drawn to Godनमूना
Is Jesus Your Highest and Only Prized Possession?
Moses chose to suffer affliction with the people of God instead of enjoying the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt, for he was looking to the reward (Hebrews 11:24-26).
Moses prized God as his highest possession.
For Abraham, God Himself was his exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1).
Judas prized 30 pieces of silver more than Jesus (Matthew 26:15).
Esau prized a little meal more than his birth right (Genesis 25:34).
Is Jesus, the pearl of great price, your highest and only prized possession?
The Lord revealed Himself and spoke to Moses in the midst of the burning bush . The burning bush is a portrayal of God’s end-time people who are totally surrendered to Him. God will fill them with His fullness and will reveal Himself through them. He will work and speak through them to the world. Exactly as the Father spoke and worked through Jesus.
“…The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works" (John 14:10). This is the intimacy and oneness the Lord wants you to experience.
Therefore, "...seek Him and you will find Him, when you search for Him with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13). When possessing ‘just Jesus’ becomes your only desire, you are on the right path to being "...able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height (of God’s love) and know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God" (Ephesians 3:18,19).
Many are so involved in the work of the Lord, that they have no time for the Lord Himself. They do not desire the joy of having just Jesus. The Lord admonished the church of Ephesus to return to their first love. If you sincerely ask the Holy Spirit to help you and restore to you the passion of having ‘just Jesus’ and being satisfied with Him alone, He will do that for you.
The people who walked with God in the past believed that The First Love is not a great desire to go and work for Jesus, but it is the awakening of our hearts to the wonder of Jesus Christ Himself.
