This pandemic has made one thing very clear – everyone is afraid of dying, and that spirit of fear, unleashed on humankind is creating panic and terror. We have all been witness to the fear-filled responses of people, and it is surprising to see that when the veneer of culture, wealth, education, etc. is stripped away, all men respond the same. Fear paralysis. It stops one from thinking straight. But the minute fear is gone, it is like a weight is lifted off one’s shoulders. The spirit of fear can blind one’s eyes to all knowledge of God and the truth. So today let us pray against this spirit. Let us bind the power it wields in the name of Jesus. May the truth always remain in our hearts and may the Lord fill us with power, love, and a sound mind.
Pray:
• Against the spirit of fear among all people across the world.
• That we will be filled with a knowledge of God’s constant, abiding, protection over us.
• For strength to withstand panic and fear when we hear news reports, see people fall ill in our neighborhood, etc.
