Read To Me Daily Semester 2नमूना
NUMBERS 34-35:
Yesterday in the book of Numbers, we heard the listing of the stages of the nomadic journey of the people of Israel. And God began giving instructions for the time when the people would enter the promised land.
PSALM 47:
Today in Psalm 47 we will enjoy a jubilant song of praise. This has been a special Psalm for Phil’s family. He remembers singing this whole Psalm with one of his favorite churches. And when he was in Indonesia, they made a recording that he has listened to over and over again.
ACTS 6:
Yesterday in Acts 5, we heard Peter and the apostles give fearless testimony before the Jewish high council. They were beaten but counted it an honor.
Let’s pray before opening God’s Word.
Our heavenly father, You whom we worship because of your Son Jesus Christ. You are our shelter and our strength. You are our refuge, our fortress, and our secure height. We take refuge in You alone. The world can fall apart all around us, and Lord, we will not be afraid. We will not be shaken, even if the earth shakes all around us. Lord, we see the amazing things You have done. We glorify you and worship you for all those things— the things you've done on earth, the things you have created, the things you did in the history of Israel. We glorify You for them all, and the things You've done in our lives. You are alive and active with us. Help us remember, Lord, that there is a river that brings joy to the city of God to the sacred house of the Most High. You are in that City, and it will never be destroyed. We won't have to wait long for You to come to our aid. Father, we long for a time where You will say in this world right now, “Stop fighting, and know that I am God.” We ask You to reveal Yourself not only in us, but also in the fearful and awesome things that are happening in this world today. Lord, we thank You that we are safe in You. We are safe because of our unity with Christ Jesus. Lord, anytime You allow us to give our testimony, or even to suffer disgrace for the sake of Jesus, we will be glad— just like Peter and John were.. May You be honored though we be disgraced in the world’s sight, because our eyes are not on this world, but on Jesus.
