ENOUGH: NOISE
“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)
God, is that you? I’m not sure I can hear you through all that noise.
Cellular devices, TV, radio, internet…voices and noise everywhere. Information bombarding our senses, telling us who we should be, how we should act, what we should wear, who our friends should be and so much more. Could it be that hearing God’s voice is becoming ever more challenging?
I know my family, and my family knows me. In a crowded room, I can pick out their voices because I recognize the sound, the frequency, the nuances, the tone. I’ve grown up with them and spent precious time with them over many years. I’m in relationship with them and talk to them regularly.
Similarly, I’m finding a great way to better hear God’s voice is to spend more time with Him, asking Him to speak to me, meditating on the word, waiting patiently. As I deepen my relationship with Him, I am finding His voice stands out and is distinguishable within and above all the noise.
Father God, I long to hear You and walk in Your ways. I want to learn to recognize Your voice better and be guided by You. Open my ears so I can hear. Be the filter of all the noise that confronts me that I may clearly distinguish Your voice and choose to willingly walk in Your ways. Help me I pray. In Jesus’ name, amen.

यस योजनाको बारेमा
In God’s eyes, we are more than enough. It’s why He sent His son to reconcile us to Him. Though we may never grasp just how much He loves us, at Lent we can take time to reflect on all He did for us. It's time to reject the message that we aren’t enough, and instead remember Christ died for us, just as we are.
