John 16.
In chapter 16, Jesus teaches on the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives.
We are empowered for Kingdom living by the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. He teaches and guides us and gives us the right words to speak.
The chapter concludes with this beautiful promise:
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NIV)
Irrespective of what circumstances come our way, we can take courage. We should not let our hearts be troubled, but rather take courage from the fact that Jesus has overcome. We can stand on His power and authority and experience the peace that He brings to our lives.
