God's Favor In The New Yearनमूना

“You crown the year with a bountiful harvest” (Psalm 65:11 NLT).

The NKJV translates this verse as ‘You crown the year with Your Goodness’.

My prayer for you is that 2018 will be a year in which God will give you a ‘bountiful harvest’. As we step in to 2018, what a comfort it is to know that God has crowned the year with ‘His Goodness’. So, today, let’s look at some of the acts of God’s ‘Goodness’, as shown in Psalm 65, which will lead us to a ‘bountiful harvest’. They are:

· He hears our prayers (verse 2)

· He forgives our sin ( verse 3)

· He fills us with the good things of His house ( verse 4)

· He answers with awesome deeds ( verse 5)

· He protects us ( verse 7)

· He does wonders ( verse 8)

· He sends rain and makes the land fertile as the climax to a year of abundant blessing (verses 9-13). (This was of great importance in the agricultural setting and community in which this Psalm was written).

As I look back upon the past year, I can see the bountiful harvest God gave us in our ministry, besides providing for us in supernatural ways. Over the Christmas Season, I had the opportunity to preach the Christmas message on 10 separate occasions with many giving their hearts to the Lord. God also provided for us and our children in every way. He truly filled us with His ‘Goodness’! 

A man of God said, ‘You may lack the fastest, the finest and the latest, but you won’t lack what is needed’!! 

Are you ready to prepare yourself for a ‘bountiful harvest’ through God’s ‘goodness’ in the New Year?! He waits to bless you with His favor. 

Prayer

Lord, give me the faith to believe for a ‘bountiful harvest’ this year through your goodness. Amen.
