Low Vibes Are Good Vibesနမူနာ
Allow. Acknowledge. Accept.
One problem we find when we fail to accept low vibes as a part of living our lives and accepting our valleys is that we try to change them when they appear. But when we try and change them rather than allow them to do the work they need to do, it becomes a cycle because it's where we put all our focus. Never get preoccupied with a process. What you think about is what you pull into your experiences.
We understand this when it comes to our physical bodies, but it applies just as much to our emotional experiences. If you are constantly thinking about changing your low vibes of fear, sadness, concern or others, they will only grow. They grow as a result of your focus on them.
Try talking about a certain car or animal and watch what pops up on your social media feed. When you focus on something, it often shows up more so. This is because it becomes more noticeable. Letting go of the process of trying to change your emotions makes releasing them a lot easier. Instead of focusing on the process of creating emotional margin, focus on feeling your emotions right now. This is called surrender. We read about it in Philippians 3:10, "I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death..." To participate in Christ's sufferings precludes the fact that you will participate in emotional pain in the valleys where you feel it. Surrender means allowing yourself to feel, learn, grow and process this pain.
Give space for each emotion.
Don’t resist them.
Don’t think about how to change them to a different, more high vibe feeling right then.
Don’t judge what you feel.
Awareness is the first step to emotional health and release. Surrender to what you are feeling allows the feelings to be released once they've done their work, and to give you greater emotional freedom.
Accept the present moment and what you feel, all of it. Trying to force your vibe to change is actually a form of distraction, stuffing, coping, or avoidance. "Positive Vibes Only" places or people is actually unhealthy (and simply untrue). That limitation requires you to stuff and judge that which doesn't fit this criteria. Stuffing and judging will only postpone your need to address what has caused you to feel that way. It only compresses your emotions internally instead of letting them flow through you and ultimately out of you.
Suppressing your low vibes keeps your low vibes in the position of calling the shots in your life. Isn’t it time you surrendered to God and allowed Him to call the shots, freeing yourself to truly feel happy, joyful, and alive again?
Acknowledging what you are feeling enables you to tap into God's greater power! Accepting your low vibes allows your emotions to move through you without leaving their imprint, or becoming your identity. When emotions aren’t free to move on, they stay stuck in your body only to show up later through sickness, aches, triggers or personal narratives. Acceptance acknowledges your trust in God and His ability to work all things together for good (Romans 8:28). It puts the power of your mind and heart back in your own hands as you rest in the assurance of your identity and security in Christ (Galatians 2:20). All vibes are good vibes because God uses it all to carry out His special work in your life.
Prayer: Jesus, I choose to surrender my situations and emotions to You. When I can do that, I will tap into Your greater power and gain greater peace. Thank You for the gift of Your care.
