Things Were Not Looking Good

What do you do in times of trouble? How do you believe when you haven't heard an inspired Word from the Lord? Today's passage allows us to know what not to do - perhaps as a warning. We shouldn't turn away from what is right. We should not turn to other "gods" because it seems to bring success to others when we don't see our blessings in light of the Truth. We can learn from Ahaz's despicable acts - don't do them! God help us!

Prayer: Lord, help us to be faithful when we don't feel Your presence or love or direction. Help us not to turn aside from loving and following You. In times of trouble, be our Shepherd, Provider, and Strength. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Thank You. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
