Experience

I really didn’t know what was going to happen this season.  At the beginning of the month I had big questions. My fears were overwhelming. I had no idea what I was doing. Now, though, I feel, well, different. It’s not just that things have slowed down, and my holiday obligations are met. That’s great, but this is a different fulfillment. Now, I have a peace about it all. Is it understanding my life better? Is it that I don’t have the stress? Yes and No. 

Things don’t weigh me down like before. Because of the daily Bible reading and praying, the pressure has been gone. I’ve received God’s truth and reflected on His promises, and I’m telling you, my life is different now. I feel capable. It’s in the way I think...the way I react...the way I spend my time. That’s what being God’s accomplishment means. It means letting Him change your life. My life. Letting Him love me and asking for the guidance to love others. This is the accomplishment in me - fresh perspective, healthier emotions and new direction. I look for answers, God responds, and I’m changed. That’s accomplishment for real. God’s accomplishment.

Wow, God. You give us direction for our lives.

You are an accomplishment. God’s accomplishment. He is very interested in giving His accomplishments direction for their lives. Why? “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalm 16:11)  He wants your life to be full of joy! So, keep praying to God. This is the way to know He is with you. Keep reading the Bible. This will show you how Jesus lived. That’s direction! Living the kind of life that looks like Jesus comes with joy and a peace that cannot be found any other way. It is a new life, led a new way.

Dear God. Give me direction to live my life so I can experience You. Amen.
