God's Redemption Story (Genesis)

HARI 4 DARIPADA 25

Adam and Eve knew they had made a colossal error before they even wiped the juice dripping down their chins. And they compounded the problem by hiding from God. Aren’t we the same way? But when we try to hide our sin from God, he doesn’t let us get away with it—or even just get away.

Genesis 3:9 tells us God called to his children, “Where are you?” He didn’t have to ask. He already knew where they were—parents always know. But he took a surprising next step. He could have thrown lightning bolts, scrapped all of creation, and started over. Instead, he clothed the ones he loved, handed out hefty consequences by which to learn, and locked the gates of the garden for their protection. And so began his plan to redeem his creation.

God still comes looking for us when we sin. He wants to restore our relationship with him. Sure, there are consequences for our actions, but our Father sent his Son to pay our price and make us clean. No lightning bolts needed. Can you hear his voice calling you by name? Will you answer?
