Amplify in the Dawn - Living the Lord's Prayer

HARI 3 DARIPADA 7

BEYOND OUR IMAGINATION

WORD

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. - Ephesians 3:20–21

THOUGHT

Did you know that the brain is the most complex organ in the human body? Incredibly, it contains over one hundred billion nerve cells, and it creates a million new connections between cells every second in our lives.

According to physicist Sir Roger Penrose, “If you look at the entire physical cosmos, our brains are a tiny, tiny part of it. But they’re the most perfectly organized part. Compared to the complexity of a brain, a galaxy is just an inert lump.”

God is the creator of this complex organ and the thoughts it is capable of producing. Yet, when it comes to the power of God working within us to accomplish his purposes, our minds can’t compare to his. His thoughts surpass our deepest, most complex, and most creative thoughts.

The wise will acknowledge the truth that his thoughts are beyond ours—in him, we find knowledge and life. When it comes to his ability to work his will in and through us, our greatest effort in imaginative thought is in no way measurable to his.

When Christ encourages prayer to our boundless God for provision of daily needs, we should rest in his limitless abilities to do so.

PRAYER - Give us today the food we need.

Lord, my desire is to do great things of significance for your glory and your kingdom. I have imagined much of what I might do, yet I surrender my desires to you, for your vision for my life exceeds what I can imagine. Amen.
