The Power Of GodSampel
Powerful...in His faithfulness
Faithfulness is a quality that’s lost nowadays. It may even seem “old-fashioned,” passé. Fortunately, God isn’t like some who turn at the first opportunity…
King David recognized and experienced His faithfulness, affirming, “Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread.” (Psalm 37:25 NLT)
Faithfulness isn’t easy to demonstrate because it’s not in our nature. Without God’s help, despite all our efforts, I believe that it’s impossible to be faithful everywhere and throughout the course of time. As this proverb says, “Many claim to have unfailing love, but a faithful person who can find?” (Proverbs 20:6 NIV)
On the contrary, faithfulness is a divine attribute. Do you know how God proves His faithfulness towards you?
- By keeping His promises. (see Hebrews 10:23)
- By committing to stay by your side all the days of your life. (see Matthew 28:20)
- By remaining dedicated to you. (see Hebrews 13:5)
- By establishing an everlasting covenant with you. (see Isaiah 61:8)
- By remaining constant despite, perhaps, your unfaithfulness. (see 2 Timothy 2:13)
- By forgiving you. (see 1 John 1:9)
Maybe you were let down by a loved one, abandoned or betrayed by your spouse, or neglected during your childhood. God wants to remind you today that He is faithful no matter what happens!
You can always count on Him… He will never forget you. His love, His flame for you, will never grow dim. His commitments to you are eternal. He will never let you down...be sure of it!
I invite you to pray with me…“Almighty God, thank You for being faithful to me, even when I’m not zealous for You. Thank You for continuing to be good and for respecting Your commitments to me. I ask Your forgiveness for being inconsistent sometimes, and I need Your help to become more like You. In Jesus’s name, amen.”
Praise God for His faithfulness today!
