Mary's Treasure

HARI 20 DARIPADA 24

Treasure Betrayed

My worst fears came true, they convicted my son

Betrayed with coins silver, disowned and undone.

Parading in purple robes wise men had worn,

And pressed on his head a crown made of my thorns.

They gambled his clothes, someone taking the sash

I’d clutched with him lost, truly lost now at last.

The splintered wood cross like my shepherd’s crook piece

This lamb sacrificed like my small woolen fleece

He looked down at me and said, “This is your son,”

To John he instructed, “Behold your new mom.”

The babe I once carried consoles me instead.

The name I bequeathed Him on plaque o’er his head.

Mary's Treasure

In this devotional written from the perspective of Jesus' mother, Mary vulnerably and honestly details the intimate moments of her experience as a mom. In each compelling scene, Mary treasures a small token to remember it by. Little does she know the divine significance each item will play in the ultimate purpose of her son’s role on earth.
