The Jesus Adventureनमुना
Welcome to The Jesus Adventure Plan! I’m Ian Millar, and over the next week, I hope to equip you with biblical truths that will encourage and inspire you in your walk with Jesus Christ.
Have you ever felt a deep inner hunger that nothing could satisfy? That’s how it is with many of us. Jesus fills the soul's hunger and gives confidence where there has been doubt and fear. As Jesus guides us, He calls us close to Himself. When we tend to wander off the path, He calls us back.
Jesus promises a hope and a future. Not because we’re good but because He is good. My life seemed like a dead-end routine of impossible situations for years until Jesus changed everything. He doesn’t just ask us where we’re going; He helps us figure out where it is worth going and how to get there.
Jesus still transforms ordinary people from creatures of darkness, distress, rage, and shame to creatures of His light. Along the way, we find transforming strength. There’s hope, joy, peace, and an incredible experience for all who take on The Jesus Adventure.
After Jesus left this world, His original followers began teaching what He had taught and doing the things He had done. They did exactly as He instructed them. The one who lived longest was John. Late in his life, John became concerned that some people were forgetting what Jesus had taught. So John wrote a letter to all of the followers of Jesus to remind them, saying:
“We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands” (1 John 2:3, NIV).
It’s the same with whatever discipline you study; knowing about something is not the same as knowing by doing it. The best trainers make you do the work first, then study it. You come to know a thing intimately when you do it. This is how Jesus taught, and many have forgotten that, but Jesus repeatedly instructed His apprentices to be doers of His Word (see Matthew 7:24).
